  Press Quotes:
"It’s been a busy time for Delecca, one of Melbourne’s leading young tenor players. Les than two years ago he was studying in New York with some top players, and last year he was gigging abroad as well as turning up in places such as the Wangaratta Festival to play with headlining US guest, Odean Pope. He also launched this debut CD with his quartet and gave support on trumpeter Paul Williamson’s album (see below). It says something of his standing now that his quartet boasts some of our best musicians – Mark Fitzgibbon (piano), Matt Clohesy (bass) and Dave Beck (drums) are among the most recorded musicians in Melbourne these days. This project is solidly in their camp. Built around the luscious tone and fluid, boppish lines of Delecca’s playing, the quartet is a mainstream jazz fan’s delight, sounding vital and fresh and invested with classic values of cohesion and drive. There is an Afro-Cuban tinge to The Operator (a tour de force by Beck and Fitzgibbon), a sublime rendition of the Bourke/van Heusen classic “But Beautiful” (all the other tunes are by Delecca), and a couple of forays on soprano sax to back his claim. This is a confident and classy album, genuinely creative even while firmly situated within known territory."
