In a post-Jazz, post-Rock, seemingly post-everything artistic climate, Whitesploitation’s music is rich with endearing qualities drawn from the music of cinema, improvisation, rock and electronica. The intensity of their live performance has been captured for their 2nd album, being launched over 4 nights at Bennetts Lane.

Whitesploitation are jazz educated, rock motivated and bound together by a penchant for fearless experimentation. The five members met at the Monash School of Music, where similar musical backgrounds were realised along with a desire to fuse the energy of their favourite rock bands with the modern jazz sound of their hometown, Melbourne. Live, The Whites take their original through-composed material and unleash it with visceral improvisation both subtle and extreme. Their unique approach to performance has been ever-evolving since the band’s conception in 2005. In this time they have played to a diverse audience at pubs, jazz clubs, festivals and warehouse parties. Whitesploitation draws language from the music of cinema, jazz, electronica, punk, prog and post-rock.
