Co-winners of the 2000 National Jazz Guitar Award at Wanagaratta, Melbourne-based Stephen Magnusson and Sydney-based James Muller collaborate for a first time performance of original music, backed by Muller's bassist Alex Boneham (bass) and Perth-based drummer Ben Vanderwal.
Magnusson is one of the most accomplished, versatile and distinctive musicians in Australia. Currently a member of Elixir with Katie Noonan, he has performed or recorded with artists including Charlie Haden's Music Liberation Orchestra, Meshell Ndegeocello, Rickie-Lee Jones, Tim Berne, George Garzone, Jim Black, Paul Grabowsky, Mike Nock, Vince Jones, and Scott Tinkler.
