This ensemble, led by Chilean born percussionist, composer Alex Pertout and Sri Lankan born vocalist, composer Nilusha Dassenaike, embraces an authentic contemporary world sound created in Australia but informed by many locations around the globe including their profound personal Latin American and South Asian roots. This is revealed through their compositions, arrangements and performances which incorporate contemporary jazz and world styles, improvisation and highly refined musicianship.
