Edo Santoni, delivers an exciting new show, 'A Case of You'. Sharing and showcasing new original material, the show also explores the artists, muses and melodies that helped define his musical foundation, inspiring and allowing him to find his sincere and soulful approach and voice.
Edo fills a rare space in the Australian music scene. As a 'crossover' artist he has reached a point where his love of all things classic Jazz, Latin, Soul, Folk and Pop are now seamlessly woven together into a distinct, evocative voice of his own. Like his musical idols, Edo's lyrical songs of love lost and found are honest and hopeful, always intimate and inspiring.
The raw yet romantic sensibility and delivery that he has become known for draws on classic artists that have shaped his own writing including Miles Davis, Tom Jobim, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Jeff Buckley and more...Modern jazz artists like Herbie Hancock, Norah Jones and Jamie Callum have also provided some important reference points as EDO's 'crossover sound' has developed and matured.
Returning to his "favorite city in Australia" to perform here at Bennett's Lane, Edo pays respect to the artists that have shaped his compelling and emotive songwriting, inviting you into his interpretations of their powerful songs. Also showcasing a new collection of original material, you will witness firsthand the marriage of Edo's influences and his exquisite creativity.
'A Case of You' marks a turning point Edo has come of age as a unique voice, songwriter and solo artist. It is time to share that growth with his fans, and to invite new ones to find him through the songs that so many of us connect with. Joined by a stellar band and featuring some very special guests, 'A Case of You' will touch your heart and keep you warm on a cold winter night.
