The raw yet romantic sensibility and delivery that he has become known for draws on classic artists that have shaped his own writing including Miles Davis, Tom Jobim, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Jeff Buckley and more...Modern jazz artists like Herbie Hancock, Norah Jones and Jamie Callum have also provided some important reference points as EDO's 'crossover sound' has developed and matured.

As a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, highlight industry awards includes Music Oz Awards Independent Song Nomination, 'Triple J' feature Artists/National Air Play, National finalist for the prestigious 'James Morrison Generation in Jazz Festival' and the 'Wangaratta Jazz Awards'. He also won 'Best Vocalist' for the National Final for the 'Emergenza International Band Competition'
