Tal Cohen, regarded as one of the most exciting young jazz pianists around, is a fine talent who brings to the stage a refreshing approach to jazz piano, not just as a pianist but also as a refined composer. Having recently returned from a successful national tour with the Jamie Oehlers Quartet - which featured world renowned drummer Ari Hoenig - Tal has spent the last 18 months writing material for his long anticipated album “Yellow Sticker”. The album is comprised of a selection of jazz standards arrangements along with Tal’s quintessential compositions. The record also features acclaimed Perth musicians Jamie Oehlers on tenor saxophone, Chris Tarr on drums and Pete Jeavons on bass. For these performances Tal brings Perth buddys Jacob Evans (drums) and Nick Abbey (bass), and will feature the amazing talents of Julien Wilson on sax. This promises to be a unique night of music highly anticipated by all members.
