Premiered for the MJC on an April 2011 visit, this group is led by expatriate percussionist Steve Heather. He is a V.C.A. graduate who moved to Amsterdam in 1995, and then Berlin since 2000, where he composes, sound designs and performs regularly in the fields of dance, theatre, and film new media performance. He reunites with longtime colleagues Ren Walters (guitar) and Tim Neal (organ), playing some of their own original compositions as well as some covers from their most beloved composers such as Lead Belly, Robert Johnson, Betty Davis, Ennio Morricone and Yes. They will use all these songs as springboards for our improvisations, never knowing when they'll come or when they'll leave.
