"Rita Satch is the best singer songwriter to hit the scene in a long time, a precocious talent" - Mark Fitzgibbon (Internationally acclaimed jazz pianist)
Rita Satch returns to Bennetts Lane after her last 2 sell out shows. She will be playing 2 sets comprising of her favourite jazz standards as well as originals for her latest EP 'Awoken'.
She's supported the likes of Renee Geyer, Kate Ceberano and Christine Anu and it's no surprise why. Regularly playing gigs at Melbourne's most prestigious venues, Rita Satch has become well known in the jazz circuit. Last year she launched her debut EP 'Awoken' at Bennetts Lane, to a sell-out crowd.
At Satch's live performances, you can expect deep soulful journeys through layers of jazzy melodies and riffs, as she burns up the stage with breathtaking vocals and electric violin solo's. Her original songs capture notes of jazz, pop and soul from the 70's, but what really makes it special is her ability to merge those genres into her own unmistakeable signature sound, the sound that is Rita Satch.
Rita will be showcasing her original songs off her EP "Awoken", as well her favourite jazz standards and new unheard material. She will be joined by her band featuring Mark Fitzgibbon (keys), Phil Rex (bass) and Hugh Harvey (drums).
