In 2003 tenor saxophonist Jamie Oehlers recorded The Assemblers (Jazzhead), an album that went on to become a favourite amongst Australian jazz fans. With bassist Rodrigo Avarena on a brief visit from Switzerland (where he has been based for several years now), and drummer Danny Fischer moving back here from New York late last year, this was an unique opportunity to reform the original line-up with Perth-based Oehlers (tenor saxophone), Paul Williamson (trumpet), Sam Keevers (piano) for a special performance to perform the music from that album and some new material. Expect "The Replicators", "Protest", "Midnight Mourning" and more. Performing together for the first time in almost ten years, this is a reunion not to be missed!
