KERBEROS, a dynamic trio led by pianist Gianni Turcio, with David Rosa on bass and Michael Rochford on drums, playing Latin Jazz influenced original composititions.
Gianni Turcio is a well known Melbourne pianist , arranger and composer whose Mediterranean and Latin music influences are clearly found in his vibrant, soulful and at times haunting compositions.
His music bears the mark of his roots, being born in Capri, the magical island in the Bay of Naples, and raised in Beirut (Lebanon), another beautiful city on the Mediterranean sea.
Combined with Gianni’s passion for Latin jazz music, inspired by such great pianists as Michel Camillo, Chucho Valdez, Danilo Perez, and the collaboration of talented fellow jazz musicians Michael Rochford and David Rosa, “Kerberos” delivers strong and exciting performances.
