Ticketing: Online ticketing is available for some gigs, however they will only be available up until 7:30pm on the day of the gig. Unless it is said that the gig is sold out, there will be tickets available on the door at each gig. |

Hetty Kate and Sam Lemann - The Irwell Street String Band
Hetty Kate (Voice/Ukulele) and Sam Lemann (Guitar/Ukulele) and their
Irwell Street String Band (Andy Baylor – Guitar, and Leigh Barker -
Double Bass) play a selection of their favourite popular songs from the
1920s to the late 1950s.
Always creating a special magic when performing
together, they touch on swing, blues and south-of-the-border melodies
– and released their sweet and swinging debut album “A Late Brunch
on Irwell Street” in 2009.
Sam Lemann is one of Melbourne's most
popular guitarists, and is called upon to lend his talents towards many
bands around the world - and the vintage-voiced Hetty Kate has recently
returned to Melbourne from an international tour spanning four
continents.
Richard Fields, host for 3CR - Melbourne, describes the
quartet as "over flowing with musicality" and "full of invention, always
fun, always light, graceful and always easy on the ear."
Steve
Robertson, host for 3PRC - Portland says “Hetty has a lovely relaxed
way of singing that puts listeners at ease.. swinging along and taking
us for a joyful ride”.
